いつか、届く、あの空に。 Translated?!

By Hemisphere, 20 October, 2008 7:13 PM

YES THAT’S RIGHT, YOUR EYES AREN’T FOOLING YOU! There really is a translation project for Itsuka, Todoku, Ano Sora ni (henceforth referred to as Itsusora). I’m still in the process of getting the Wiki request approved, but if anyone out there’s graciously willing to host us in order for the project to go smoothly, your generosity will be very much appreciated!

Still getting the act together, so don’t expect something like a sudden deluge of translations. Plus there’s only one person who’s doing the actual translation work right now.

If you’re interested in helping out, then you can go here and say so! Right now I’m just checking to see who might want to participate in the project, seeing as my request for a wiki page isn’t even approved yet. I’ll post more about this once the ball gets rolling!

Looks like the first translated route will be Ousuki Konome’s! Which is good, because then I get to keep MAI WAIFU SAN-NEE ALL TO MYSELF HAHAHAHAHAHAHA it’s a pretty good route for reeling in people to Itsusora!

PS: Check out the new poll! Please take it seriously, because it’ll determine which route we’ll go through first for you guys. If you guys need an idea what the respective routes cover, here are some non-spoilerish hints. Futami’s route covers the mystery of the night sky, the four branch families and the reason for the Saku family’s existence. Konome’s route is about her families’ heritage and history, as well as part of the town’s mystery though not in greater detail as Futami’s.

I know that a lot of you want San-nee’s route from the get-go, but you need to finish these two routes first before San-nee’s as you won’t be able to understand her route if you jump straight into it.

Also: #itsusora @ irc.rizon.net!

Update: We have the wiki site up here. Please disregard this one as it had FTP issues, hence the new wiki. I’ll remind Aroduc to delete that one one of these days. Also! We’ve gotten some proofreaders and image editors already, so thanks a lot for volunteering guys!

Let me know if you need space or a mediawiki all to yourself. They take about 2 minutes to just toss up on my server and I have far more diskspace and bandwidth than I’d ever use.

  2. ritchan says:

Wait a minute, Hemi, isn’t that you? I’ll sign up then. As a tester.

  4. ritchan says:

Isn’t there some kind of post that tells me the background of each character so I can choose?

  5. Kresnik says:

If it ever finished, that would saves me from months trying to understand it. Keep it up!
As for translation priority, maybe you should start with Konome’s, since I assumed that her story has less relevance to the main plot compared to Futami’s. That way, the translators too, will feel less repetition in their action.

I have to agree with Kresnik about the route priority and also the fact that Futami’s has a CRAPLOAD of long-winded explanations in the final conflict. Though I really think the hardest part of any translation project is time management and the interest to continue all the way through. So I wish Sterling01 good luck as it is a very lengthy game he has taken on.

Long game is long. Break me, it will indeed.
