精霊天翔
Look, it’s Seirei Tenshou, Xuse’s latest upcoming title! Well, to be exact, it’s the trial for Seirei Tenshou, and it’s pretty fun.
First off, it’s in native widescreen resolution. Glorious widescreen resolution…finally! *sniffs*
So, the story involves Cristopher Tangram, a treasure hunter turned yuusha after certain circumstances, and the five Spirits Crystals, from Seinarukana. While searching for a legendary treasure, Christopher and his friends end up in the world where the five Spirits Crystals are seen fighting desperately to protect a town, and without a second thought he jumps in to help them. Then some more stuff unfolds, but hey…

I can bother with the story stuff later (especially since I don’t know how the hell the Aselia story is to go on now with the whole crew behind it gone from Xuse but what the hell), the gameplay comes first! So in the town of Erdanoome, there are four buildings: one where you to go in order to get quests, one where you buy items for your Spirits Crystals, one where you power up your Spirits Crystals’ HP/Material/Force, and another where you Save/Load or rest in order to let the day pass. It’s nothing new for those who have played Toushin Toushi 3, in case an analogy would suffice.
For the gameplay itself, you have three choices of attacks at your displosal: the normal one, the Force attack and the Material attack.

While your normal attacks change depending on the combo you rack up, Material and Force attack strength and combo depend on their charge-up. The meter for Material Attacks refill whenever your Spirit Crystal isn’t using it, while the meter for the Force Attack is always empty, with you having to manually press and hold the button for the attack in order to charge it up and unleash it. You can also choose to use various items on your Spirits Crystals, but I didn’t really see any need to.
The quests involved in the trial were all fairly easy, once I picked up how the system works. Touhou comparisons aside (I KNOW the comparison is inevitable, it’s been there ever since the damn thing was announced by Xuse), I’m picking it up because I’m interested in finding out just what Xuse intends to do with the Aselia series. Will it be left open-ended with Seinarukana and instead milked for all its worth? Or would they actually try and finish the entire thing with an Eien no Aselia 3?
That aside, here’s some pic spam from the available CGs in the trial!

I’m liking the blue spirit :Q, and the green one reminds me of the monster hunter mascot.
I don’t think I’ll pick this up, I just want more Euphoria D:, Xuse better do something about that damnit!
See, the black spirit is a mass of cute! I called it and I called her first, so bugger off or get buggered!!
I’m torn between white and red…
*Ninja sneak around Micchi and snatches white.*
if there’s a full-grown mode for those cyrstals, i’m getting this even if it kills me
AND I CALLED IT FIRST BWAHAHAHAHAH-shot
By the way how long is that first mission supposed to last?
Looks nice. Now all that is needed is someone translating it :p
Would love to play this. Looks fun and to finally get some native wide screen visual novels is awesome.
Quick off topic question – will you fix the sidebar or will you leave the theme as it is?
The male lead looks like a criminal/rapist… and around all dem lolis too!
I agree wholeheartedly. More Euphoria please! And I like Ruu and Zeu the most out of all of them. :Q
Rooked, have you tried out Tenkuu no Yumina there? They’ve got a pseudo-Euphoria in it!
But Hemisphere is your “superior officer.” XD
Every time I am reminded of the fact that you laid claim to Zeu first, I weep.
Ah well. *hugs Rur* MIEN!
Because Hemi laid claim to Zeu and Ruu (<3), MIU IS MIEN.
I saw that! But if we’re only taking one, I’ll take red. *omochikaeri’ed*
In certain countries superior officers get…… bypassed all the time. ;)
Not very long, the first mission is your basic tutorial. You use normal attacks, then force attacks, then material attacks, then go nuts…you can get a maximum of 2000 mana from there, I think, if you extend it long enough, but I don’t recall correctly.
LOL, maybe all that heroism is just a facade to get dem lolis!
LOL, better pray that it doesn’t kill you then. Otherwise how can you enjoy it?
