ALICE SOFT × VOLKS PROJECT

I can’t believe it took me a while to report this, but ah well. Better late than never!

Calling all AliceSoft fans! Results of Volks’ online voting for which AliceSoft character would fans love to see (and have) as a PVC figure finally came in after weeks and weeks of waiting, and the winner is…!

That’s right, no one else but Masou Shizuka! Narrowly beating the Mysterious Girl by 33 votes, Masou gets the top spot and possibly the highest priority! Her win is due to her immense (and I mean immense) popularity on 2ch, as she is reputedly the first ever tsundere that ever was in an eroge. That’s definitely got to account for something.

You can check the voting results here, or skip straight and see who won the twenty to sixth, fifth, fourth, third, second and first places respectively, along with several comments about how people would like to see these characters in their PVC form.

I’m glad to see Senhime in fifth place and Uesugi Kenshin in sixth place, and I even have to say that I’m also quite looking forward to a figure of Masou Shizuka (trying my best to suppress my fanboy instincts here, and not doing so good at it)! I was expecting characters like Kouhime, Yukihime, Suzume and Nanjo Ran to really rack up the votes, and while Ran didn’t make it, the rest landed in the top 20, though not as good enough as I’d hoped.

Now let’s just hope that Volks is willing to sell their figures to not only the Japanese market but also to the international market as well! Seeing that their Sennin Haruka and Sennin Narika figures are available to the Japanese market only (see Heisei Democracy for more information about it!), let’s just hope that the Volks’ Rance series figures don’t take the same route.

    I almost didn’t recognize your blog when I check it on AB.net’s feeds… ^_^;
    The new layout seems to be on the “wide” side though. Not bad.

    And back on topic, a good Volks Uesugi Kenshin figure would be nice. Are they also going to make figures of the runners-up?

    In this day and age everyone has wide screen displays! The extra side space is glorious for just about everything. :D

    I’m guessing yes, they’ll be making figures of the runner-ups, probably from the second all the way to fifth place. See, the good thing about their online voting was that it served as both a way to get feedback from their audience as well as publicly promote their future sales at the same time, as well as present Volks’ future Rance series figure lineup.

    I hope they start making widescreen resolution eroges, even if it means extra work on behalf of the artists.

    The only one I can think of is MuvLuv Alternative…
